Arbor Day tree give-away

In honor of Arbor Day, the Morgan County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System will be sponsoring a tree give-away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 9:00 am.-11:00 am. Dogwood, pine, cypress, and oak trees will be given away at the Agricultural Service Center located at 3120 Highway 36 West, Hartselle and the Morgan County District Four Shop located at 423 Union Hill Road, Somerville. Quantities are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis.  A maximum of 10 trees per person will be available.
Planting trees helps with erosion and run-off into our streams, saves energy, provides habitat for wildlife and makes our community a more beautiful place to live. So drive by anytime during these hours to receive your free trees and planting guide. For more information call 773-6543 ext. 3.
