William Benton ‘Pappy’ Broyles

Funeral for William Benton “Pappy” Broyles, 81, of Hartselle will be Saturday, February 19, at 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with John Laidley and Hospice Chaplain Harold Fanning officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 19, from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Broyles died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at his residence. He was born June 26, 1929, in Jelico County, Kentucky, to Homer P. Broyles and Myrtle Annie Hutson Broyles. He was preceded in death by his parents. He spent many years helping his daughter at Ramey’s Shell.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Eileen Broyles; a daughter, Lora Ramey of Birmingham; two brothers, Homer P. Broyles and wife Nigel and Donald Broyles and wife Carla, all of Florida; two sisters, Cecilea Hill and husband Paul of Tennessee and Mary Prewitt of Arkansas; three grandchildren, Tonya Bloodworth Casteel, Chad Bloodworth and Kelly Ramey; mother-in-law, Maxine Silvers; and three great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Pallbearers will be John Singleton, Dan Reist, Ron Cheek, John Booker, Randy Green and Dennis Ramey.
