James H. ‘Tex’ Halbrooks Jr., 56, of Hartselle will be Sunday, February 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jon Laidley officiating.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 19.
Mr. Halbrooks died Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was born August 23, 1954, in Hartselle to James Hoyet Halbrooks and Betty Grace Blevins Halbrooks. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Brown.
He is survived by two daughters, Christy Faye Halbrooks Brown of Hartselle and Wendy Smith of Monticello, Ga.; a brother, Bobby Halbrooks and wife Brenda of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Ashlee Michelle Brown, Carl Edward Smith and Chad Smith; a niece, Robin Halbrooks Riley of Hartselle; and a best friend, Barbara Barnett.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Stinson, Darwin Halbrooks, Drew Mason, Brian Goree, Daryl Brown, James Morgan, David Grantland and Roy Griffin.
