Funeral for Irene Hudgins McKee, 89, of Hartselle will be Saturday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Minister David Dobson officiating.
Burial will be in Lawrence Cove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. McKee died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born November 2, 1921, in Morgan County to George Gilbert Hudgins and Dora Moore Hudgins. She was married for 54 years to David Monroe McKee who preceded her in death. She was a member of United Church of God in Madison and she loved God, her children and family.
She is survived by two sons, James David “J.D.” McKee of Hartselle and Eugene McKee and wife Theresa of Speake; a daughter, Helen Ransom and husband Richard of Somerville; a brother, Horris Hudgins of Hartselle; two sisters, Christine Kinney of Eva and Josephine Nuby of Hartselle; five grandchildren, Brandon Ransom and wife Mandy, Lorraine McKee, Blake Ransom, David McKee and Michael McKee; and a great-grandchild, Halle Ransom.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Ransom, Blake Ransom, David McKee, Michael McKee, Nathan Steele and Thomas Steele.
