Updated HPD investigating Gilchrist burglary
The Hartselle Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly burglarized Gilchrist Pharmacy on Sparkman Street early Tuesday morning.
According to Lt. Justin Barley of the Hartselle Police Department, an unidentified male wearing a camouflage jacket, dark blue or black and white converse tennis shoes, grey gloves, blue shirt and dark pants entered the business at 2:51 a.m. and took medications.
“The suspect made entry through the front door,” Barley said. “He took an amount of controlled substances.”
Barley said the suspect was inside of the business a “very short period of time.” He also added that investigators are having a difficult time trying to identify the suspect.
“He did a good job of concealing his face from the video cameras,” Barley said. “We’re looking into all available leads at this time.”
The suspect was traveling in a small dark colored vehicle.
If anyone has any information on this incident, Barley asks them to contact the HPD at 256-751-6534, ext. 0.
