Funeral for David O. Holland, 56, of Orlando. Fla., will be Thursday, March 10, at 7p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Holt officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Holland died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando.
He was born Dec. 29, 1954, in Louisiana to Alvin Holland Sr. and Bobbie Dueise Burgess Holland. He was an avid golfer, loved to spend time with his family and loved to play the guitar and banjo. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Holland Sr. and a brother Joseph Holland.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Holland of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, Brent Slusher and Daniel Holland, both of Orlando; three daughters, Dana Beauregard and husband Brian of Kissimmee, Fla.; Megan Mustafa and husband Wafid of Davenport, Fla., and Daneille Holland of Hartselle; his mother, Bobbie Holland of Danville; four brothers, Alvin Jr., John and wife Amanda, Tim and Jeremy; five sisters, Sue and husband Jessie, Marvelle and husband Michael, Nancy and husband Dwayne, Carmen and husband Robert and Jocelyn and husband James; and seven grandchildren, Mark, Ariel, Jacob, Lissy, Hannah, Callie and Elizabeth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
