Funeral for Opal Taylor, 82, of Hartselle will be Tuesday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Redmond officiating with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens at 2:30 p.m.
Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, March 8.
Mrs. Taylor died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born January 9, 1929, in Limestone County to Joe L. Anglin and Eliza L. Pack Anglin. She was a member of First Baptist Church Hartselle where she was active in Sunday School and Church Choir. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her favorite room in the house was the kitchen and she always made sure everyone had their favorite food to eat. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she always made getting together fun! She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Anglin.
She is survived by her husband, Mack Taylor; three sons, Ned Taylor and wife Sherry of Athens, Lynn Taylor and wife Kim and Alan Taylor and wife Mitzi, all of Hartselle; a brother, Joe Anglin Jr. of Athens; a sister, Millie Anglin of Huntsville; and six grandchildren, Angie Taylor, Stacia Hill, Csey Racinelli, Lisa Taylor, Chase Taylor and Stone Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Ned Taylor, Lynn Taylor, Alan Taylor, Chase Taylor, Gary Anglin, Dirk Anglin, Paul Faulkner and Shawn Bracey.
Memorials can be made to Hartselle First Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
