Morgan County Sheriff’s Rodeo coming March 25-26
Rodeo fans from across North Alabama are invited to the annual Morgan County Sheriff’s Rodeo to watch two nights of professional cowboy and cowgirl competition March 25-26. The event will be staged at Celebration Arena on Highway 67 in Priceville. Gates will open at 7 p.m. each night
The rodeo will be produced by Lone Star Rodeo Company and will feature professional competition in calf roping, bareback riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and bull riding.
In addition, professional clowns will entertain and contests will be conducted for kids. A Best Dressed Little Cowboy and Cowgirl will be selected and face painting will be offered. During intermission, children will be invited to participate in a hay search for Chuck E. Cheese tokens and race for tennis balls for a chance to win prizes including a $100 gift certificate to Academy Sports & Outdoors.
Concessions will feature cotton candy, popcorn, cowboy hats, rodeo T-shirts and other western themed merchandise
Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children and can be purchased at all branches of People’s Bank in Morgan County and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. Or credit cad purchases, contact the Celebration Arena from 8 a.m, to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at 256-584-6725. Admission at the gate is $12 for adults and $10 for children.
