Funeral for Marian McCarley, 81, of Hartselle will be Sunday, March 27, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Gamble officiating.
Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Cullman County.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. McCarley died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born January 5, 1930, to Joe Alton Thomas and Willie Rose Dial Thomas. She was a lunchroom lady for Falkville School. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bennie Joe Thomas and Ronnie Thomas.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Overton and wife Becky and Steve Overton, all of Hartselle and Robert Overton of Cullman; seven sisters, Paula Smith and husband Harold of Falkville, Nelda White of Hartselle, Nell Deason of Birmingham, Nita Holland and husband Guin of Eva and Frances Thomas and husband Jim, Barbara Engberg and husband Ed and Carol Kane and husband Don, all of Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
