Danville-Neel Elementary School students were recognized recently as winners in a “Read Across America” competition. They read 10,302 books and received a plaque to commemorate their achievement. The event was conducted Feb. 29 through March 4 and the plaque was presented on Mar. 23. Congratu-lations to all of the students, teachers and staff and a special thanks to Mrs. Baylis and all of the guest readers who participated.
Delbert Vest is the proud great-grandfather of a new grandson, Bentley Allen Vest, who was born March 3, weighing seven pounds and eight ounces and measuring 20 inches long. Bentley’s proud parents are Eric Vest and Becca Murphy. His proud grandparents are Billy Vest and Tammy Vest.
Frances Morgan of Danville is the proud great-grandmother of a new grandson, Nathaniel Ray Harrison. He was born March 10 and weighed seven pounds and 10 ounces and measured 20 inches long. His proud parents are Bill and Cassie Harrison and his grandparents are Timmie and Becky Morgan of Danville.
Congratulations go out to Dale and Hannah Little Burch who were united in marriage on February 5 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Tom Campbell officiated. Han-nah is the granddaughter of Clyde and Levonia Gillott of Neel. A bridal shower was hosted on March 27 in the church fellowship hall.
