JV Lady Tigers undefeated in March
Hartselle’s JV Lady Tigers are undefeated after collecting wins in all six games they played from March 3 through March 29. Their wins came against Lawrence County, Decatur (twice) Cullman, Vinemont and East Limestone.
HHS 13, LCHS 2
Hartselle out-hit Lawrence County 11 to 7 and came away with a 13-2 win at home March 3.
Amber Hicks paced the Lady Tigers at the plate with three hits. Haley Jared, Tori Miller and Amberly Anderson each had a pair of hits and Sara Ellen Battles, Savannah Holmes and Ashley Boggs each had a hit.
Anderson was the winning pitcher, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out five batters.
HHS 17-18, DHS 0-0
Hartselle blanked Decatur 17-0 and 18-0 in a double-header on the road March 7
In the first game, Hartselle’s Battles, Holmes, Madeline Sittason and Boggs each had a hit and Emily Lipinski pitched a two-inning no-hitter with four strikeouts.
In the nightcap, Hartselle had nine hits to none for Decatur. Sittason and Lipinski each collected a pair of hits while Boggs, Miller, Leah Stephenson Jared and Anderson each had a hit.
Stephenson was the winning pitcher, allowing no runs, no hits while striking out six batters.
HHS 10, CHS 0
The Lady Tigers blanked Cullman on the strength of 10 hits and one-hit pitching.
Battles and Hicks were Hartselle’s leaders at the plate with two hits each. Boggs, McKenzie Waddell, Holmes, Miller, Julia Holladay and Sittason each had a hit.
Jared was the winning pitcher, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out nine and walking three batters.
HHS 5, VHS 0
Hartselle collected six hits and gave up only one as they cruised past Vinemont 5-0 in a home game March 25.
Hicks paced the Lady Tigers in hitting with a pair of singles while Battles, Waddell, Boggs and Sittason each had a hit.
Anderson was the winning pitcher. She allowed no runs on one hit and struck out six in seven innings.

Hartselle collected 10 hits and gave up only three in a 13-3 win over East Limestone in a home game March 29.
Battles paced the Lady Tigers in hitting with three hits. Waddell and Jared each had a pair of hits and Boggs, Miller and Sittason each had a hit.
Stephenson was credited with the win. She allowed three runs on three hits while striking out eight batters.
