Artwork needed for SNAP facility
Artists are needed to provide artwork for display at the Special Needs Accessible Playground in Sparkman Park.
Contributed images of colorful objects such as balls, cartoon characters, blocks, kites, flowers etc. will be hung on the centerfield wall behind the Reuben Sims baseball field, where they may be viewed by children playing in the playground.
The first two construction phases of SNAP have been completed and the third and final phase is targeted for start-up this summer. The facility is designed for all children with an emphasis on providing a wonderful play area for special needs kids.
For more information on artwork for the playground, please contact Linda Roberts, Interact sponsor at Hartselle High School, before April 15. She can be reached at 256-773-5426 or via email at Linda.roberts@hcs.k12.al.us.
