Farmer’s Market opens
The Farmers Market in Decatur opened Saturday, Apr. 9 with vendors offering homegrown strawberries, greens, onions and flower plants,
The market’s hours are 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until vendor supplies are sold,” according to Burl Slaten, manager.
“We don’t expect a lot of vendors for the first three or four weeks,” Slaten said. “but things will start picking up when growers start harvesting tomatoes, squash, potatoes and cucumbers.”
The Farmers Market in Hartselle is expected to re-open in three to four weeks.
