Mary Elizabeth Hughes

Funeral for Mary Elizabeth Hughes, 84, of Falkville will be Tuesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with W. L. Richey officiating.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday, April 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hughes died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born April 24, 1926, to Walter Lee Richey and Angie Beck Richey. She was a nurse at Flint City Nursing Home and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeakel Hughes; two daughters, Jewel Harvey and Faye Carey; and her parents.
She is survived by three sons, Roger Glenn Hughes of Hartselle, Larry Louis Hughes of Decatur and Connie Ronald Hughes of Madison; a daughter, Theresa Hughes Hanes of Hartselle; a brother, W. L. Richey; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granchildren.
Family and friends will be pallbearers.
