Ruby Bishop
Ruby Lee Long Bishop, 79, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Pointe Rehabilitation and Health Center in Webster, Texas, She was formerly of Hartselle and grew up in Belmont, Miss. and Haleyville.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Belmont City Cemetery with Bro. Jack Maroon officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Miss., will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are one daughter – Lynnette B. Madison, Houston, Texas and formerly of Hartselle; two granddaughters – Meredith Madison Simpson, Hartselle and Caitlin Madison Bach, Houston, Texas; one brother – Raymond Long, Haleyville; one sister – Frances Murner, Florence and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar Lynn Bishop, U.S. Air Force Retired, her mother, Lera Yarber Long Lee of Belmont, Miss., her father, Earnest Long of Haleyville and a sister, Earnestine Long.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartselle Public Library, Hartselle.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Miss.
