Funeral for Garold C. Carnell, 71, of Eva will be Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Askins and Jeff Redmond officiating.
Burial will be in Enon Cemetery in Eva.
Visitation will be Friday, May 6, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Carnell died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at his residence. He was born April 20, 1940, in Morgan County to Clifford Carnell and Norma Oreda Frost Carnell. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle and was retired from Boeing Aerospace Company where he was a manager of Material Operations for the Missile & Space Division. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Carter Carnell of Eva; a son, John Carnell and wife Cindy of Eva; a daughter, Leah McRae and husband Jerry of Decatur; a stepdaughter, Sherry Adams and husband James of Athens; and six grandchildren, Reilly McRae, Cody McRae and Jordan McRae, all of Decatur, Jack Carnell of Eva and Hunter Adams and Lindsey Adams, both of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Monty Redburn, Bob Belew, Bill Green, Gary McBride, Mark Clem and Doyle Mayberry.
