Funeral for Mary Fay Varnell, 90, of Hartselle will be Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Lawson Jones officiating.

Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, May 6, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Varnell died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the hospital. She was born October 2, 1920, in Morgan County to James A. Harvel and Pearl Tunstill Harvel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard Varnell; and a daughter, Donna Gail.

She is survived by a son, the Rev. Jimmy Lawson Jones of Hartselle; six grandchildren, Kenny, Mike, Donna Jo, Rhonda, Jenny and Mandy; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gwen A. Jones, Shirley Orr, Larry McAbee, Jerry Crowe, Hal “Buster” Lee and Aubrey Anderson.
