Tornado victims receive assistance
Danville news
I am so very proud to live in the great state of Alabama. When all of the deadly storms hit the state and killed and hurt so many people, destroyed homes, businesses and whatever else was in their paths, the people pulled together as one to help those in need. Churches, volunteer fire departments, Alabama National Guard and businesses started the cleanup, donated food, water and clothing and other items for the storm victims. There were also several radio stations that stayed on the air 24-7 to give updates on storm activities and direct people to where they needed to go for assistance,
I never knew just how much it means to have a battery-powered radio to keep up with what was going on. I count my blessings that the loss of power was our only problem, and I pray for God’s blessings on everyone who lost loved ones and their homes during this terrible time in our state. I also want to thank Keith Abercrombie and his radio station 105.7 in Hartselle for all of its help during the days when so many people were without power.
