Funeral for James Ellis Johnson, 73, of Falkville will be Saturday, May 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Green officiating.
Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, May 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born May 30, 1937, in Morgan County to Cletis William Johnson and Estelle Hand Johnson, who preceded him in death. He was a member of Bell Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Johnson of Falkville; a son, Mike Johnson of Danville; a daughter, Treasa Hills of Falkville; a brother, Jackie Johnson of Fairview; three sisters, Peggy Hagood of Conyers, Ga., Marji Dunn of Brookwood and Linda Lee of Amory, Miss.; four grandsons; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Johnson, Gregg Chaney, Josh Chaney, Jason Agner, Gary Turney and Bryan Sims.
