Funeral for Ted Deese, 62, of Hartselle was Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Worley officiating.

Burial was in Simcoe Cemetery in Cullman County.

Mr. Deese died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born September 26, 1948, in Cullman County to Norman Deese and Era Fowler Deese. He was a truck driver for Estes Trucking Co.

He is survived by a son, Jeff Deese of Athens; a daughter, Chastity Johnson of Athens; his mother, Era Deese of Athens; and two grandchildren, Megan Rozell and Chelsea Johnson.

Pallbearers were Terry Barnes, Jarbis Terry, Bob Mullins, Homer Griffin, Charles Gibson and John Paul Johnson.
