County Commission approves new fencing for District 2
Morgan County Com-mission accepted low bids totaling $29,141 to install new fencing at the District 2 workshop West Park.
A bid of $6,056 was accepted from Eagle Fence Co. to replace the fencing at the District 2 shop. A bid of $23,085 was accepted from the same company to replace the fencing around three ball fields in West Park.
Five others companies submitted bids on the two projects with American Imperial Fence Co. coming in second on both projects.
District II Commissioner Randy Vest said he hopes the work in the park won’t be held up by summer youth league baseball and softball games.
“We’re looking at keeping two fields open for play while the third field is being fenced,” he stated. “Some of the old fencing will be used to fence the park’s football field.”
