New Center Baptist observes Homecoming, Decoration Day
New Center News
I am still so amazed that even 21 days after the devastating tornadoes so many folks are still trying to help those affected by the storm in whatever way they can. Often as time passes we tend to forget or slack off but I must say so many are donating their time, money and support to those in need. I‘ve always heard that healing does take time.
On Sunday, May 15, Homecoming and Decoration Day were observed at New Center Baptist Church. The occasion allowed time for loved ones and friends to remember those who passed away during the past year. Those remembered are listed as follows:

We remember you
In the rising of the sun,
And in its going down.
We remember you
in the blowing of the wind
And in the chill of winter.
We remember you
In the opening of buds
And in the warmth of summer.
We remember you
In the rustling of the leaves
And in the beauty of autumn.
We remember you,
As long as we live,
You shall live too,
For you are a part of us,
We remember you.
