Thank you to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice
Danville news
Thank you to all of our brave young men and women who have given their lives to serve our country and help keep us free. I want to ask all of my readers if they have ever thought about how different our lives would be if those wonderful American patriots had not sacrificed so gallantly to protect your freedom and mine? Also, what kind of country would we be living in had it not been for their sacrifice? Would the U.S. still be the way it is today or would some other country have control over our lives?
I say “thank you” and god bless all of the many families throughout all of the wars who have lost family members in battle. I also want to remember my late Dad who served in the Korean War from start to finish and I will always keep and honor the American flag that was presented to my late Mom following Dad’s funeral service, which was conducted by Disabled American Veterans. My Dad is John Ward Jr. He returned from the war with the rank of staff sergeant. Bless you Dad. You are loved and missed.
