Blue Star Mothers collect items for soldiers

Simply Hair of Falkville has a drop box for Blue Star Mothers.

The Blue Star Mothers is an organization dedicated to deployed soldiers. Many of their sons and daughters are deployed, but they also send to others’ sons and daughters.

The organization is getting ready to send Fourth of July/summer fun boxes. They need small water guns, water balloons, Frisbees, etc.; necessities such as razors, deodorant, toothpaste and wet wipes; snacks such as chips, crackers and fruit roll ups.

They will send at least 10 boxes per soldier per year at a cost of more than $900 per mailing.

Blue Star Mothers is a non-profit organization consisting of mothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends of deployed troops. If you have a family member that is deployed, go to www.bluestarmothersofmorgancounty.com and add him or her to the mailing list. All donations are appreciated.
