Man faces drug charges

A Falkville man faces drug charges after a search warrant was executed Tuesday.

Agents executed a narcotics search warrant at 3383 Wilhite Road, Falkville, the residence of Kevin Rex Dow. Investigators discovered a large quantity of marijuana, controlled substances and paraphernalia.

Also discovered was a partially preserved red tailed hawk. Due to this being endangered wildlife, the Federal Game and Fish Division was notified and took interest in the red tailed hawk.

Kevin Rex Dow , 56, of 3383 Wilhite Road Falkville, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana first degree and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

No bond had been set as of press time.
