Auditions planned for Harper Lee play
Auditions for College Street Players’ production of Harper Lee’s “To Kill A Mocking Bird” will be held at Hartselle Fire Arts Center July 16 and 23 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Roles are available for seven white males, five while females, three black males and one black female. The script also calls for three to five children of ages 9 and 10 and some teenagers. Many extras are needed and will be used.
Productions dates will be Oct. 8-10 at the Fine Arts Center. Edd Balch will direct the play.
“We encourage anyone and everyone that is interested in this Pulitzer prize-winning play to show up and be a part of helping us continue to educate today’s society about events that occurred in a small Alabama town in 1935,” Balch said.
