Elaine Smith

A graveside service for Elaine Smith, 88, of Falkville will be Sunday, July 10, at 4 p.m. at Cook Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Redmond officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Smith died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born December 2, 1922, in Morgan County to Walter Stinson and Irene Morris Stinson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Murphy.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Smith; two brothers, Jake Stinson of Falkville and Jimmy Stinson of Somerville; a sister, Madeline Payne of Falkville; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
