Dewey H. “Bodie” Brown
Funeral for Dewey H. “Bodie” Brown, 74, of Lacey’s Spring will be Friday, July 15, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Melvin Brown and Tim Patrick officiating.
Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, July 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown died Wednesday, July1 3, 2011, at Crestwood Medical Center. He was born August 22, 1936, in Morgan County to Mack Brown and Lydia King Brown. He was the owner of C&B Foundry in Lacey’s Spring and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1959 to 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; three sisters; and a son, Jacky H. Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Bowers Brown; two daughters, Donna Frazier and Dora Clark, both of Lacey’s Spring; three sisters, Annie Lou Lenox of Lacey’s Spring, Lillie Maples of Somerville and Mable Avans of Scottsboro; three grandchildren, Jessica Winfrey, Stephanie Clark and Shannon Clark, all of Lacey’s Spring; and two great-grandsons, Kaleb Wood and Kolby Smith, both of Lacey’s Spring.
Pallbearers will be Mike Owens, Troy Brown, Shannon Brown, Brian Abbott, Johnny Clark, Jeff Lennox, Dudley Winfrey and Tennis Owens.
