14U girls win state

The Morgan County All-Stars 14U girls softball team won the USSSA 14U State Championship Tournament held in Hartselle July 9-10.

The team consists of girls from Brindley Mountain, Cotaco, Danville, Falkville and Priceville. Team members are, from left, (front) Bailey Watkins (Cotaco), Erin Payne (Priceville),Tamara Bonds (Cotaco), Chelsea Hill (Priceville), Maggie Ransom (Priceville), Bailey Anders (Falkville), (middle) Brittany Linderman (Danville),Emily Baker (Priceville), Kellee Stiles (Danville), Hope Bearden (Brindley Mountain),Savannah Bolton (Danville), Katelyn Waits (Cotaco), and (back) coaches Dustin Waits and David Lemmond. Not shown are Kennedy Winton (Cotaco), Shelley Vinzant (Cotaco) and coach Daniel Watkins.
