Looking back to the past

Looking back into time during the 40’s and 50’s: girls and women had clothes that they only wore for dress wear—such as to church, parties and to school and everyday clothes they wore everyday.

Children within walking distance would walk to school. On rainy days we would ride a taxi to school for 25 cents.

Children did not have cars to drive to school in the 40’s and 50’s. The school parking lot was empty except for teachers’ cars.

If a student was caught for talking in class they would have to write, “I must not talk” 500 times. Suppose if this was done today, what would happen?

Chocolate Frozen Tarts

1 pkg. chocolate instant pudding

2 cups milk

1 cup chopped pecans

6 graham cracker tarts

Make pudding according to directions on package, add chopped pecans and pour into tart shells. Put into refrigerator or freezer.
