Karen Patricia “Lifer” Greenhaw

Karen Patricia “Lifer” Greenhaw, 51, of Hartselle died Friday, July 29, 2011, at her residence.

A family visitation was observed on Sunday, July 31, from 3 to 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church Chapel, 600 Governor’s Drive, Huntsville, AL.

Mrs. Greenhaw was born September 10, 1959, in Atlanta, Ga. to Charles E. and Ann Lifer. She worked as a court reporter in the Huntsville and Decatur areas for 15 years. She was a fan of Alabama football and Alabama gymnastics. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, William T. Hooker Jr. of Hartselle; a daughter, Gina Mullins of Montgomery and husband Ben; her parents; two stepsons, Jason Hooker and wife Nikki and Michael Hooker, all of Hartselle; stepdaughter, Chrissy Hooker of Hartselle; a brother, Charles E. Lifer of Toney; two sisters, Ginny Taylor and husband Jeff of Huntsville and Ellen Jones and husband Alan of Kelso, Tenn.; and step-granddaughter, Marlee Hooker of Hartselle.

The family requests that memorial gifts be made to Hospice of the Valley, 240 Johnston St., Decatur, AL  35601 or ALS Association of Alabama, 3313 S. Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL,35801.
