FHS releases honor roll for last nine weeks

Falkville High School released its honor roll for the fourth nine weeks and the second semester. Here are those who made both lists.

Sixth Grade

Hot Dog Treats

1/2 cup vinegar from bread and butter pickle jar

2 or 3 hot dogs sliced

Cover hot dogs with vinegar in a covered bowl. Let chill several hours. Serve from toothpicks or use to make hot dogs.

Raspberry Dig

1 small carton sour cream

1/4 cup raspberry vinaigrette

Combine ingredients and mix well. Serve with crackers or cinnamon crackers.

Sweet relish tip

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup sweet relish

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Serve with crackers.

Company Tea

Brew 1 or 2 regular tea bags in water

2 or 3 cups orange juice

2 or 3 cups of cranberry juice

Combine tea, orange juice, and cranberry juice in pitcher.

Tartar Sauce

1 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sweet relish

Combine ingredients in a bowl. Serve with hot dogs or fish.

Fried Cucumbers

1 or 2 cucumbers

1/2 cup flour

Slice cucumbers and put them into a plastic bag with the flour and shake until cucumbers are covered with flour. Place them into a frying pan with a little cooking oil and brown on both sides.

Egg Drop Soup

1 cup chicken broth

1 egg

Combine broth and egg in sauce pan. Simmer and stir until egg is done.
