Quinn receives scholarship

Adam Quinn has been named one of three Beeson Exceptional Scholars at Samford University for the 2011-12 academic year.

Quinn of Decatur is the son of Kent and Teresa Quinn and is a recent graduate of Decatur Heritage Christian Academy. He is the grandson of Charles and Mary Quinn of Hartselle and Betsy Hauser of Decatur.

The Beeson Exceptional Scholarships are named for the largest donors in Samford history and are the premiere scholarships available to meritorious students from the state of Alabama. Recipients have demonstrated superior scholastic ability, leadership, energy and self-reliance in extracurricular activities, including church and community.

The annually renewable scholarships cover tuition, fees, room, board, books and international study.

Quinn has also been accepted into the Samford University Fellows honors college, one of 36 freshman to receive this honor.
