Hartselle was thinking ahead
Many residents have voiced their opinions in opposition to the group home sponsored by Volunteers of America. However, there appears to be little that the city can do to stop it.
However, the city may have grounds to limit the size of it. According to city zoning ordinances, a family is defined as a group of relatives living together or a group of up to four non-related persons living together. Because of this definition which was developed years ago, the city can limit the size of this home.
This is another example of how our city leaders have been looking out for the best interests of the community.
