Funeral for Gladys Boyett, 88, of Valhermoso Springs was Sunday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with Bro. Tim Patrick and Bro. Melvin Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in the adjoinng cemetery.

Mrs. Boyett died Fri., Aug. 12, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Morgan County to Albie West and Berta Haney West. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Boyett, and her parents. Albie and Berta Haney Boyett.

She is survived by a son, Stanley Boyett and wife Wanda of Cotaco; three daughers, Patricia Boyett, Ann Smith and Glenda Wilson and husband Walter, all of Valhermoso Springs; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were family members and friends.
