Edna Earle Day

Funeral for Edna Earle Day, 93, of Hartselle, will be Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 3:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wed. from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Day died Tues., Aug. 16, 2011, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Morgan County to Charlie and Mary Ellen Culbreath Slate. She was preceded in death by two husbands, John Edgar Moss and Modie Day and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, John Douglas Moss and wife Tammy of Hartselle and Jimmy Doyle Moss of Hartselle; a brother, Donald Slate of North Carolina; a sister, Elaine Story of South Carolina; two grandchildren, John Lane Moss of Cary, North Carolina and Barry Scott Moss of Birmingham.
