Falkville Police receives $7,432 grant
The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs has awarded a $7,432 grant to help the Falkville Police Department upgrade computer software.
The new software will improve the department’s ability to maintain evidence and report records and to track drug traffickers, sex offenders and other criminals.
“Police officers need quick access to accurate, up-to-date information to effectively perform their duties,” said Gov. Robert Bentley. “I am pleased to help the Falkville Police Department upgrade their records system.”
ADECA is administering the grant from funds made available by the U.S. Department of Justice.
Bentley notified Falkville Mayor Jimmy Walker that the grant had been approved.
