HHS band sets plans for festival

Hartselle High School’s marching band has announced plans for its 16th annual Southern Hospitality Marching Festival.

The all-day event will be conducted on Sat., Oct. 1, at J.P. Cain Stadium. The opening ceremony will begin and 9 a.m. and admission will be $5 for adults, $3 for students and free children under 5.

The festival will feature more than 20 high school bands performing in competition. Hartselle High’s marching band will perform in exhibition preceding the awards ceremony. UNA’s “The Pride of Dixie Marching Band” will perform at the conclusion of the competition in the evening.
