Tractor-trailer blocks intersection

An 18-wheeler blocked the intersection of U.S. 31 and Alabama 36 this morning for about 45 minutes, according to Hartselle Police Lt. Justin Barley.

The incident occurred at 11 a.m. Thursday morning, when the semi-trailer became detached from the tractor unit. It appeared to be turning left from U.S. 31 South on to Alabama 36 West.

A wrecker was called to the scene to pull the trailer out of the intersection. Hartselle Police blocked several lanes of the intersection until the tractor and trailer were moved from the intersection.
