Funeral for Danny Joe “D.J.” Holaway, 56, of Decatur will be Tues., Aug. 23, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Mon., Aug. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Mr. Holaway died Fri., Aug. 19, 2011, at his residence. He was born Oct. 17, 1954, in Morgan County to Larry Evon Holaway and Dot Holaway. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Holaway. He was part owner of Holaway’s Market in Decatur where he worked in the meat department.
He is survived by a son, Andrew Holaway of Germantown, Md.; two daughters, Amy Holaway Rogers of Jasper and Lanae Holaway Kaney of Birmingham.; a brother, David Holaway of Decatur; three sisters, Dianne Holaway Russell of Decatur, Deborah Holaway Rushing of Northport and Donna Holaway Finney of Macon, Ga.; and two grandsons, Isaiah Stone Rogers and Joseph Thomas Kaney.
