Doris Thompson, 75, of Decatur died Sun., Aug. 21, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home.

Burial was in Shoal Creek cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Thompson was born April 29, 1936, in Morgan County to Clifton Walker Tapscott and Mary Bert Clemons Tapscott. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was employed by Solutia.

She is survived by a sister, Barbara Beddingfield and husband Harlan of Hartselle; and a nephew, David Walker Beddingfield of Decatur.
