First Methodist Flint donates piano to Somerville Assembly

I trust everyone had a great week. There’s a lot going on at this time of the years. Everyone is trying to get as many outdoor activities done as possible before cold weather comes.

Happy birthday wishes go out to my grandson, Jacob Daugette. I love you very much!

Prayers and love go out to Vernon White who has to go to Atlanta Aug. 29 to have a medical procedure done on his heart. We wish him the best.

Dale and Wilda McCutcheon renewed their marriage vows in a beautiful service on Saturday afternoon. We wish them many more wonderful years together.

The youth of Somerville Assembly had a successful yard and bake sale on Saturday. A special thank you goes out to those who donated items and baked goods as well as those who volunteered their time to help out. A big thank you also goes out to Natashia and Joan Free for organizing the event. The gospel singing was also enjoyed by everyone who attended. New Life Singers were special guests. Bro. Jack Garnett was among the visitors.

Jayla Daugette and Faith Kemp were overnight guests of Vickey Daugette on Saturday.

A surprise birthday party was given in honor of J.J. Daugette at Gaudalahara in Decatur Thursday night. Some 30 people attended Everyone enjoyed food, karaoke and sharing fellowship. Thanks go out to Mechelle, Linda and Wendy for organizing the party and getting everyone there.

Vickey, Julie, Louis and Jayla Daugette and, Aden, Jacob and Jeannie Moore recently enjoyed spending seven days in Gulf Shores.

Robert and Norma Dempsey and Randy Rice spent three days at Gulf Shores recently.

A gospel singing was held at Soul harbor Baptist Church last Saturday night. Everyone enjoyed the praise and fellowship.

Bro. Jacob Daugette and Ashley attended Bible study at Pines Baptist Church on Wednesday.

Happy 18th birthday wishes go out to Ethan Sharp. A party was held at his home on Friday night to celebrate the occasion.

A big hello goes out to Mary and John Nelson.
