Hartselle man arrested in Krystal’s case
A man with a Hartselle address was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of capital murder in connection with a shooting and robbery at Krystal Restaurant at 1617 6th Ave. SE in Decatur earlier the same day.
The suspect is identified as Jordaan Stanly Creque, 21. Police said his listed home address is 602 Homeplace Ave. is Hartselle.
Victims in the homicide were night manager Jeffrey Mark Graff, 50, of 514 Hermitagewood Drive NW, Huntsville , and Jessie Jose Aguilar, 23, of 1704 Diane St. SW, Decatur.
Graff’s body was discovered by an employee when she reported for work shortly before 5 a.m. on Wednesday. She notified Decatur police and they found Aguilar’s body in the restaurant’s walk-in cooler shortly after their arrival. Both sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Police located Creque in the emergency room at Decatur General Hospital at approximately 6 a.m. and he was subsequently questioned, arrested and charged. Two other persons of interest were sought for questioning. One has been located and the other remains at large.
Creque was employed at the fast-food restaurant and police believe he used his status as an employee to gain entrance. The business is closed to walk-in traffic between midnight and 5 a.m. but keeps its drive-through open.
Police reported that a portion of the money stolen in the robbery has been recovered.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police. Anyone who may have been in the area of the restaurant between 3 and 5 a.m. and believes they have information related to the case is urged to call the Decatur Police Department at 256-341-4660.
