Funeral for Eston William Lewis, 79, of Eva will be Sun., Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church in Eva with the Rev. James Wray officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in he adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Lewis died Thur., Aug. 25, 2011. He was born June 8, 1932, in Morgan County to William Lewis and Susie Oden Lewis. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and mowing with his tractor. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lorean Bradford and Reva Oaks.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ella Faye Brown Lewis; a daughter, Julia York and husband Mark of Trussville; a son, Jeff Lewis and wife Shelia of Eva; three grandchildren, Laura York, Casey Lewis and Chris Lewis; and a brother, Loin Lewis and wife Helen of Clanton.
