Funeral for Virginia D. Pitts, 93, of Hartselle will be Tues., Aug. 30, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Shane Britt and Lavanuel Sherrill officiating.
Visitation will be Mon., Aug. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Pitts died Sat., Aug. 27, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Limestone County to Tom Taylor and Ethel Clark Taylor. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Hartselle and was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Marvin C. Pitts.
She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Paul Pitts and wife Ann of Hartselle and Bobby Pitts and wife Myra of Vinemont; a brother, the Rev. Marvin Taylor of Huntsville; two sisters, Christine Clem of Athens and Faye Logston of Decatur; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
