CELERY DIP

2 T celery

(leaves chopped)

1 small carton sour cream

Combine celery leaves and mix well with sour cream. Serve with crackers as a dip or use on baked potatoes.

ICE BOX CHEESE WAFERS

1/.2 1/4lb. grated sharp

cheese

Dash of salt

1/4 lb. butter

Pinch of red pepper

1-1/2 cup sifted flour

Cream cheese, butter, salt and pepper. Add flour. Shape into roll. Wrap in wax paper, refrigerate. Slice into thin wafers. Bake at 350° for eight to 10 minutes.

Falkville Blue Devils football team will play Tanner on the road Friday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. Go out and support your team and cheer them onto victory.

Junior High cheerleaders for 2011-2012 are Josie Luker, head, Haley Vinson, co-head, McKayla Naylor, Bracey Thompson and Baylee Lockhart. Mascots are Marvin McClellan and Katie Thompson. Sandra Holmes is their sponsor.
