Lady Tigers winners in first home matches
After getting drubbed 1-6 in a weekend tournament at Huntsville High School, Hartselle’s High’s volleyball team is back on a winning track.
The Lady Tigers swept both Austin and Winston County in a season-opening home stand Tuesday, improving their record to 9-10. They cruised by the Lady Black Bears 25-18, 25-21 and easily defeated the Lady Yellow Jackets 25-21, 25-12.
Olivia Golden was a spark in Hartselle’s attack with 18 kills, seven digs, an ace and a block.
Katelyn Hill had eight kills, five digs, an assist, an ace and a block. Kaylee Shelton recorded 10 kills, an assist and a pair of blocks. Taylor Lybarger had five kills, 10 assists, an assists and an ace.
Haley Jared had four kills and two blocks. Sarah Ellen Battles had a kill, 14 digs and an ace. Tori Miller had six digs.
Savanne Howard had two kills, 41 assists, six digs, two aces and a block and Elizabeth Russell had a kill, 12 digs and three aces.
