Bank customer loses temper, faces misdemeanor charges
Police arrested a 32-year-old man and charged him with disorderly conduct and harrassment in connection with an incident at the Hartselle branch of Redstone Federal Credit Union Wednesday afternoon.
Hartselle investigator Lt. Justin Barley said Jason Dewayne Grantland of 2004 Highway 36 East is being held in the city jail as a result of the incident.
Barley said Grantland approached a bank teller at about 1 p.m. and asked for a cash withdrawal. When he was refused after no evidence was found that he had an account at the bank, he brushed objects off the counter. When an assistant manager intervened, he was shoved by Grantland and threatened and Hartselle police were called.
Grantland offered no resistance to the arresting offers, Barley stated.
