Irma Aurilla Chasteen

Funeral for Irma Aurilla Chasteen, 96, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Bice and Graden Chandler officiating.

Burial was in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Chasteen died Sun., Aug. 28, 2011, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Nov. 16, 1914, in Cullman County to Valentine Andrew and Thresia Roberta Chandler Leipert. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Ervin Leipert, Alvie Leipert, Marvin Leipert and Valentine Leipert; and her husband, Edgar Hershall Leipert.

She is survived by a son, Leldon Leipert and wife Rosemary of Cullman; three brothers, James Leipert, Eugene Leipert and Asple Leipert, all of Cullman; two sisters, Odell Vice and Estelle Rowe, both of Cullman; three surviving grandchildren, Jerry Chasteen, Deborah Green and Gary Chasteen, all of Hartselle; and three great-grandchildren, Kaleb Green, Austin Chasteen and Cameron Chasteen, all of Hartselle.

Pallbearers were Eric Vest, Shannon Leipert, Kaleb Green, Michael Leipert, Mark Leipert, Chris Leipert, Darrell Leipert, Cameron Chasteen and Austin Chasteen.
