Funeral for Clenney Edward Simpkins, 64, of Hartselle was Sat., Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tony Collins and Jeffery Collins officiating. Burial was Sun., Sept, 4, at 1:30 p.m. in Hough Cemetery.
Mr. Simpkins died Fri., Sept. 2, 2011, at his residence. He was born Aug. 17, 1947, in Madison County to Raymond Simpkins and Evelyn Elledge Simpkins. He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Moulton and was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Burrow. He was owner of S & S Appliance Repair for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dimple Simpkins of Hartselle; a daughter, Lynn Maday and husband Alan; and two grandchildren, Tiffany and Alan Jacob of Hartselle.
Pallbewarers were Roy Long, Danny Cobb Jr., Danny Cobb Sr., Tim Shickles, Zachery Glover and Butch Danley.
Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Nelson, Richard Carter and David Lacey.
